About the QCA Grant Programs

All 2012 grant deadlines have passed. Grant applications for projects happening in 2013 are due Thursday, October 11, 2012 for NYSCA and DCA funded grants and Tuesday, October 4, 2012 for JP Morgan Chase funded grants.

The Queens Arts Fund (QAF) offers grants to Queens-based individual artists and non-profit organizations offering distinctive arts and cultural programming that directly serves the citizens of Queens. QAF funds are provided by the New York State Council on the Arts  Decentralization Program, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Greater New York Arts Development Fund and the JP Morgan Chase Foundation.

The Queens Arts in the Schools Grant (AIS) provides grant support for collaborations between schools and cultural organizations that focus on the creation and implementation of arts integrated units of study. This program is part of the Local Capacity Building Initiative at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). The Local Capacity Building Initiative is a statewide effort to promote widespread participation in arts in education.

Hi. There’s an open call for our second annual juried group exhibition “Going Green II” and Crossing Art, a Queens based for profit gallery. We would like to support QCA with proceeds collected from the application fees, and 10-15 artists will be chose as participants in the group exhibition, also, one award recipient from the artist selected in the group exhibition will receive a solo exhibition, potential gallery representation and a cash prize. We would love to have QCA bringing this opportunity to more artists, and we are hoping that through QCA we could get sponsorship, so that we could get even more valuable awards for artists. Thank you.
