WEDNESDAY, MAY 15TH, 6-8PM

Are you an artist who’s working on building great communication skills or wanting to excel at them? If you are, then join us on Wednesday, May 15 from 6-8pm for an interactive Public Speaking training session with professional storyteller/author Slash Coleman. Known for his innovative workshops that combine art, storytelling and business, this new workshop incorporates the best of Coleman’s materials and information designed with the artist in mind.

All of us have personal, true stories to tell. The problem is, most of us don’t know what story to tell or where to start. Yet, we’re hard-wired to look for and connect with others through their story. You’ll leave this workshop with the framework of a versatile, compelling, authentic and personal true story that conveys who you are and what you do. It’s the story of “YOU” and when you tell the story of “YOU” the need to coax, convince, and sell disappears.

Your projects are unique, original, worthwhile, and necessary. Make sure everyone you talk with knows just how much. This workshop, created specifically for artists, will include experiential exercises and take-aways that you can use on the phone, to revise the bio on your website, when you meet new people, or even to make a pitch in front of an audience.

Slash Coleman (facilitator), best known for his award-winning PBS Specials, is a professional storyteller, author of “The Bohemian Love Diaries” and a blogger for Psychology Today. A former jazz pianist and visual artist, he wowed audiences with his recent TEDTalk that included tales about being born into a family of artists. His grandfather was a dancer at the Moulin Rouge, his grandmother was a crazed watercolorist and his father is a prolific sculptor. As he recounts, “As artists, members of my family did almost everything right, but as business people they did almost everything wrong. As a result they struggled. It was this impetus that helped me rethink the assumptions I had about making my living with my art and in the process create my own blueprint built around achieving creative success.” For more visit: www.slashcoleman.com.
