WRITE ON: How to Write Better Copy


If you’re an independent creative professional who wants to write effective marketing and sales copy for your website, sign up now for this two-part workshop. During the first session, experienced copywriter Grace Bello will teach you basic skills and best practices for crafting the kind of text that delivers your message and sells your work. During the second session, bring your drafts to class to get individualized feedback and editing suggestions. The first 15 participants who register for BOTH workshops are eligible to receive feedback on their drafts during the second session. Whether you’re a crafter who wants to boost your product descriptions or a design professional with a blank About Me page, find out how to write about your work more effectively. Grace Bello
(facilitator), is a lifestyle and culture reporter based in New York. Previously a full-time copywriter who penned articles and fiction on the side, she escaped the cubicle and now writes for whomever she wants to. Her articles have appeared in The Atlantic, The Hairpin, Capital New York, Bitch Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Time Out New York, Publisher’s Weekly, Bookslut, Tablet, and more. The Verge praised her interview for The Awl with comedian Chris Hardwick as “the best tech writing of the week.” Her humorous fiction has been published in McSweeney’s and Splitsider. She previously taught fiction writing at 3rd Ward and tutored kids for 826NYC. She teaches writing for Skillshare both online and in New York City.
