Intro
With support from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Local Capacity Building Initiative, Queens Council on the Arts offers matching grants of up to $5,000 to help fund creative arts in education (AIE) partnerships between schools and artists and/or arts/cultural institutions in Queens. Successful applicants will clearly demonstrate how the arts subjects-visual arts, theater, music, dance, etc.-integrate with the non-arts school curriculum. All Queens pre-K-12 public, private, parochial, and charter schools are eligible to apply.

QCA provides technical assistance to applicants on an as-needed basis. The QCA mentor will help the applicant develop strategies for making the grant application and project as successful as possible.

Deadline for mentoring: Friday, October 31, 2008.
