2pm Natalia "Saw Lady" Paruz
6th annual NYC Musical Saw Festival

The cutting edge music starts at 2:00 PM , with a concert featuring about 20 musical saw players from Mexico, Germany, Canada and all over the USA.
There is also an art exhibition featuring the musical saw in paintings and a video installation. The world's greatest saw players come out of the woodwork to join other acoustic musicians in a variety of musical performances. You'll hear classical, contemporary, folk, gospel, pop, and show tunes throughout the concert. The end of the concert features the "Chorus of the Saws" - all the saw players playing together.
* Natalia Lady Paruz, founder and organizer of the annual NYC Musical Saw Festival, will present the musical saw as an ensemble instrument with participation of a handbell choir, 2 singers, a pianist and an organist.
* Nicholas Bardach of Germany will give a presentation spoofing classical music with the saw.
* Rafael Cornejo of Mexico will demonstrate non-traditional saw playing.
* World premier of a new piece composed by Scott R. Munson for the saw.
* Solo performances by many musical saw players.
* The Chorus of the Saws - all participating saw players will play together Want to learn to play the musical saw? This is the place to find out all about it. Many of the best saw players from around the world come to the Saw Festival (we had sawists from India , China , Canada and Japan, as well as from around the USA ) and many are returning to the Saw Festival this year. The festival is fun for the whole family (kids 6 years old and up).
