- Be on Time - Class starts at 11:00am sharp, unless otherwise stated by the instructors. If the student arrives to class more than one (1) hour late without prior notice he/she will be counted absent. The tardiness is excused if the student has a note from a parent/guardian or if the student informs the instructors (via e-mail or phone) prior to class. The program ends at 4:00pm.
- Three (3) Excused Absences - The student is allowed three (3) excused absences to successfully complete the program. Absences are excused only when the student brings a note from a parent/guardian explaining the absence or when the student speaks with the instructors (via e-mail or phone) prior to the absence to discuss the reason. It is up to the instructors' discretion to decide whether the absence is excused.
- Three (3) Unexcused Absences - The student is allowed three (3) unexcused absences to successfully complete the program. After three (3) unexcused absences, the student will no longer be able to participate in the program.
- Homework - The student is required to complete all homework assignments on time. Missing more than three (3) homework assignments is grounds for the student to be dismissed from the program.
- Field Trips - The student is expected to attend visits to museums, galleries, and artist's studios at locations outside of the HS2AS program site.
- Models - The student is expected to create drawings from live nude models.
- Lunch/dress - The student should bring a lunch/snack each day to class. The access to food at the program site is limited. The student will be working with materials that could get on clothing, please dress appropriately for working with charcoal, out-of-doors, and on the ground.
- HS2AS is only responsible for student whereabouts during program hours, after the student has signed in.
- Signed Contract - Please review ALL program information. After reading all the program information, the student and a parent/guardian must sign.
