A collaboration between Queens Council on the Arts (QCA), New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the Queens Museum of Art (QMA), the event is open to the public and provides a rare opportunity for the City’s creative minds to learn from each other and connect with experts from various artistic fields. Nineteen arts organizations based in New York City will share information about their programs, presentation spaces and funding sources.
The afternoon’s activities also include an informal networking reception, a raffle and live music performances. In addition, artists will participate in portfolio reviews with QMA curatorial staff and a peer-sharing slide/video/reading slam during the event (with advance registration). Dancers are invited to attend an application session for the Dance in Queens residency and to sign up for work sample reviews with Paz Tanjuaquio of Topaz Arts. Submission Process
To submit your portfolio (visual or performing arts) for critique, please send a CD or DVD clearly labeled with the name of the artist and contact information to:

Submissions should be limited to 10 images or 3-5 minutes of performance. Only a limited number of submissions will be discussed at the workshop. A submission is not required for registration.

Admission is free. Registration is required. Space is limited.

DIRECTIONS TO THE QMA
Via #7 Flushing IRT. Exit Willets Point/Shea Stadium and follow the yellow signs on a ten-minute walk through the park to the museum, which is located next to the Unisphere.
