Information Sessions will be held in July, August and September. Click here for the schedule of Information Sessions. All new applicants, and returning applicants who have not submitted an application for the past two years, are required to attend a session.
Guidelines
Grants are available for Queens-based non-profit organizations and individual artists, for projects in any artistic discipline. All funded projects must take place in Queens within the 2009 calendar year, and be accessible to the general public.
Grants for organizational support and development are also available to non-profit arts organizations.
Applicants to QCAF must demonstrate their commitment to producing new work inspired by or involving the community, and/or to increasing cultural programming and access to the arts in Queens.
Organizations
- must be nonprofit;
- must have a Queens street address (not a PO box);
- must have been established at least one year ago;
- and must provide quality arts activities and/or services in any discipline.

Individual artists
- must have a Queens street address (not a PO box)
- must be at least 18 years of age
- Individual artists can apply without a fiscal sponsorship organization, but must have an agreement with a venue to present the project
- May be of any artistic discipline
