Who attends the mixers? Friends of QCA. Individual artists. Community leaders. Politicians. Art organizations. YOU!

QAX Mixer Testimonials:
“My personal experience of attending Mixer has been really positive. As a new transplant to Queens, Queens Mixer played an important role for me to connect with art professionals in the community. Artists often work alone and Mixer provides a great opportunity to meet other artists. As a result of attending the Mixer, I met interesting professionals whom I have collaborated with and referred me to greater opportunities in Queens and elsewhere. I highly recommend the Mixer to any artists who wants to connect with the community.”–Yoon Cho–Artist
“This year the Queens Art Express was able to bring several talented artists to Jackson Heights. Because of their efforts, local residents were treated to performances and readings they might not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience. Additionally, our local businesses benefitted from increased traffic and exposure. The Queens Art Express represents the ideal example of how the arts can benefit a community and its businesses. I highly support and look forward to their future endeavors.”– Council Member Daniel Dromm, 25th District, Queens
QAX 2010 was highlighted by outdoor art shows, dance premieres, daily music performances in 4 subways stops along the 7 train, film screenings, artist led tours through the neighborhood, open studios, and a free concert on the East River at Gantry State Park.
